Corrine Cooper
Elementary Teacher
Although this is Corrinne’s first year teaching at LGA, she has been affiliated with the school for various years through co-op with her children. She has homeschooled her children for several years with two children having graduated Highschool, and one more student headed into 10th grade. Over the last 5 years, she has taught Pre-K with a Christian based curriculum and Godly character training. Mrs. Cooper is zealous about teaching and understands it is a calling from God, which she does not take lightly. She believes that teaching goes far beyond the textbooks and that there are more ways to learn besides sitting at a desk all day. She is passionate about inspiring a love of Christ and learning in each child’s heart through Godly character training and curriculum. Corrinne is a member of LifeGate Church and serves in many areas including Children’s ministry.
This year, Mrs. Cooper will serve as our MicroSchool Elementary teacher (grades 3-5). She will be teaching Mathematics, Language Arts, History, Science, and Bible. She is eager and excited to kick off this upcoming school year with your child. (If you would like information about LGA MicroSchool, please attend the upcoming info meeting Monday, July 19, 2021, at 6:30pm) Contact Michele Penton at 256-679-5969 with any questions.
In addition to the MicroSchool, she is teaching a co-op Geography class: “Expedition Earth” for Elementary. This course will be taught in two separate classes: K-2 & 3-6.
